“Samba” for flute and piano by Victoria Bond
PROGRAM NOTE
I love the Brazilian samba, and I wanted to compose a version of it for flute. Although the flute does not often get to play rhythmic music, I felt it was perfectly suited to the rhythms of the samba, and I wanted to give it the opportunity to dance! I am grateful to the Flute Examiner for choosing my composition, and I hope to interest many flutists in performing it!
