Basss Flute In Case

National Flute Association – New Work for Low Flutes Competition

I have been an active member of the National Flute Association for many years. Over the years I have had many opportunities to perform and present at the conventions in varying ways to help support the association. This past year I was invited to join the low flutes committee and just started my term on November 1 of this year. I am quite honored to be able to serve on this committee with such wonderful people in support of low flutes. Many of you know me as a piccoloist with my doctoral research focusing on the piccolo. I am overjoyed to also be able to influence the world of low flutes. I have always loved playing my alto and bass flutes, and now I am playing my contrabass all over the country. Please take a moment to check out one of the projects that the Low Flutes Committee and the National Flute Association are supporting. Feel free to share this with any composer friends who may have interest.
