Well, here we are entering another year of exciting opportunities to grow and improve. Last year we introduced a panel of excellent teachers as our fledgling Pedagogy Committee. We gathered a wealth of knowledge from their expertise, and we greatly appreciate that they were willing to share their skills with our readership. This year will be no different as we hope our newsletter and website motivates and encourages each of you to pick up your flute and play! It doesn’t matter whether you’re taking orchestral auditions or playing in your local flute choir after a 30-year hiatus. Our panel of accomplished teaching artists will offer insight and pointers to help you reach your flute playing goals. So, without further hesitation, The Flute Examiner is very excited to welcome the 2026 Pedagogy Committee. Feel free to click on the links below to learn more about this year’s committee members!
I know each of these pedagogues personally and am very familiar with their playing and teaching. Each has an incredibly warm, inviting, and nurturing personality. It is very easy to see why their students love them so much. If you ever have a chance to meet them, you will immediately understand what I mean. I really think you are going to enjoy reading what each of these artists has to say, and I hope you will give their methods a try. You won’t be disappointed!
