Emerald Fields is a 6:15 minute piece for flute and piano with three sections that flow together but work well as separate, individual pieces as well.
These three pieces are part of a “musical story” originally composed for a children’s modern dance performance. Each section depicts a different character or action. The first section evokes a beautiful bird flying through the sky. The middle section portrays the sun, and the third section is a joyous and playful dance.
The recording is the third section.
